We are currently hiring for the below positions

Reporting to the Operations Manager or lead hand, and in support of the team’s production requirements, you must be able to perform the following duties and tasks:

  • Work daily with drive and passion, following work safe practices.
  • Work within our team’s communication structure with a focus on effective and efficient daily progress
  • Under limited supervision, and working from drawings and verbal directions, fabricate both hulls and prefabricated components using aluminum plate, flat bar, square tube, pipe, tube and tee bar, for example.
  • Working from blueprints, using template materials to cut and fit complex parts and shapes required to complete our projects.
  • Be able to inspect completed welds to ensure quality meets our established standards.
  • Keeping work areas tidy and secure, work at a consistent rate, staying consistent with the team’s build timeline and high-quality expectations.
  • Assist in other production duties when required.

Be Proficient with the following tools:

  • grinders / sanders / air & electric die grinders / welding machines / reciprocating, circular, chop, band and table saws / drill motors, drill presses, routers and other basic hand and finishing tools

Skills & Abilities:

  • Be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment, developing cooperative working relationships with the Tideline team.
  • Be able to take direction and constructive criticism when needed, with the goal of maintaining Tideline’s expectations to build a product of very high quality.
  • Be able to work well from both oral and written directions from the team lead.
  • Be proficient in marking, scribing, bending and installing materials to the required close tolerances. (+/- 1.5875 MM – 1/16”)
  • Be experienced with TIG welding aluminum

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant ability to stand & walk throughout the day, working both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to lift or move 25 lbs items consistently
  • Climbing ladders, ramps, and scaffolding regularly; requirements to work in confined spaces may be required.

Safety Requirements:

  • Personal Protective Equipment, like breathing masks, will be provided by Tideline and are to be worn as directed.
  • Employee must provide his/her own steel-toe boots.

We are seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic with strong Volvo Penta experience to join our growing service team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with a wide variety of vessels, specializing in daily refit and repower projects ranging from recreational cruisers and sport boats to larger yachts and commercial vessels.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in marine diesel and gasoline engines, with specific experience servicing, diagnosing, and installing Volvo Penta propulsion systems, including sterndrives, inboards, IPS systems, and electronic controls. Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced marine service environment.

Daily responsibilities include engine removal and installation, rigging, troubleshooting mechanical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with complete vessel refits. Applicants should possess basic marine electrical knowledge, including 12V and 24V systems, battery installations, charging systems, wiring diagnostics, and electronic accessory installations. General mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service procedures are essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Experience with fiberglass work, plumbing systems, steering systems, or additional marine brands is considered an asset. A valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate tools and lifting equipment are required.
